They change is inevitable, that change is for the best, that a change is as good as a rest, etc. But is it? I met someone today who I hadn't talked to for a few months and he seemed to think I'd changed quite a bit since the last
time we talked. He certainly seemed to think that I had changed for the better since the last time we spoke, but not everyone agrees. There are some who feel I have changed in a negative way over the months and so I am wondering, who
is actually right?
I suppose in general changes in circumstances are very much up to the observers point of view as to whether or not they are positive or negative and so it should not be surprising that two different people I know view these changes in
different ways. But what is interesting to me is that both of these people, in different capacities, I got on quite well with once upon a time and they can now have such a different opinion on me and what I have made of my life.
I suppose it still is not too surprising since my opinion of at least one of the people in question has changed quite a lot as well and so I no more approve of what she has made of her life than she does of what I have made of mine.
Just goes to show, nothing lasts forever in this world, enemies become friends, friends become enemies, those closest to you will become those furthest away, sometimes without you even realising it. I wonder, those of you who read this,
if you think back over the last few months, maybe a year at most, how many people are there that you have fallen out with, that you've disliked or even hated for a long time but now get on fine with, how many people have disappeared from
your lives and how many new people are in it? Perhaps even more generally, what changes has your life been through in the last few months? How many of those changes would you call good or bad? Now think, how many of those changes would your
friends, family, co-workers, etc agree with you on whether they're good/bad? You might get interesting results...
