I wonder how many of you have felt like this at one point or another? You're bored, you realise you're bored, but you really can't be bothered to do anything about it. How long does the feeling last for I wonder? Minutes? Hours? Days? I've been
feeling like it for over a week now, hence the lack of updates to the site, I just really can't be bothered to do anything much.
I suppose the problem is that during my "restructuring" of my online activities, I didn't give much thought for what would replace them. I stopped playing UO, stopped staffing for it, stopped playing CN, stopped playing Ragnarok Online, stopped visiting
most of the channels I go to on IRC, but nothing to do now :P technically my hours at work are meant to have decreased, but I still end up there until 4 or 5pm most days, partly to get work done and partly because I just have nothing better to be doing,
something I don't think the people I work with quite understand. They don't quite get that when I say "I really have nowhere better to be" or "I have nothing better to do", I really do mean it, it's not just said for effect, I literally do have nothing
better to be doing than working on spreadsheets or databases or whatever else needs doing.
I suppose that level of "nothing to do" is something most people find difficult to understand, most of the people I work with have families or friends to go home to, have places to go, have lives to live. Me, I just sit infront of the computer staring
at random websites and playing random games (Battle for Wesnoth was fun, but I'm having trouble finding campaigns I really like). Of course the simple solution would seem to be obvious, find something, find people to meet, find things to do, find places
to go, but I don't do that, never have done and never will do probably, I live alone and alone I shall live. Would be nice once in a while to pretend I had somewhere to go, someone to see, something more than work though, but I suppose we can't have everything
in life :p
